CCC Funding for Road Maintence
Please see below statement released from Cambridgeshire County Council. We are investing over £55 million in the finalised capital maintenance programme 2024/25. This includes £20 million of additional funding for 2024/25, and a further £23 million planned for 2025/26.
Published: 13 August 2024

This is the biggest investment in road maintenance for more than a decade.
We have engaged extensively with elected members, with all feedback received being reviewed by officers. Following the conclusion of the member engagement sessions work to deliver the programme is now underway and in progress. Teams are finalising the specific delivery programmes, and we are communicating directly with local members regarding specific projects or workstreams that will impact them. Similar engagement with stakeholders will also commence shortly.
From today, for the first time, we are publishing online an interactive and helpful list of the local schemes of work included in the programme, sorted by district and by asset type, to make finding information easier.
The online programme will be updated on a regular basis as and when additional schemes of work for this year are confirmed. Details are also included about work underway to plan for 2025/26.
The web pages can be found at: https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/capital-maintenance. Please follow the links for work type (roads, pavements etc) and then find a local district.
This online programme of capital delivery work will be promoted via social media and other digital channels. Furthermore, each local scheme will be supported by resident leaflet drop, household letters, on-site signs, and posters in the relevant area.
The top 20 capital delivery projects will get dedicated marketing plans, including ‘before, during and after’ pictures and other communications, as appropriate for each scheme. We will be getting in touch with local member(s) for each scheme to discuss other communication opportunities to promote the schemes in their area.
