Notice of Conclusion of Audit
The Notice of Conclusion of Audit is a statutory notice that confirms the Parish Council's external audit process has been completed for the financial year.
It is published in accordance with the requirements of sections 20(2) and 25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and section 16 of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015.
Once the external auditor has completed their review of the Council’s Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR), the Council is required to publish the Notice of Conclusion of Audit together with the final audited AGAR and any accompanying reports issued by the auditor.
The notice informs residents that the audit has been concluded and that the relevant documents are available for public inspection. It forms an important part of the Council’s commitment to openness, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that residents can access information about how public funds have been managed.
By publishing the Notice of Conclusion of Audit and the associated audit documents, the Parish Council demonstrates that it has completed the required external audit process and continues to maintain high standards of financial governance and public accountability.
