Budget & Precept
The Parish Council is committed to managing public money responsibly and transparently.
Each year, the Council carefully prepares and approves a budget that sets out the income required and how it will be spent to provide services, maintain community assets, and support local projects throughout the parish.
The precept is the amount of money the Parish Council requests from the local billing authority each year and is collected as part of residents’ Council Tax. When setting the precept, the Council considers its legal responsibilities, ongoing running costs, future maintenance requirements, community priorities, and planned projects to ensure it can continue to deliver value for money.
By publishing our annual budgets and precept information, residents can see how financial decisions are made and how public funds are allocated. We believe that open and transparent financial planning helps build trust and allows our community to understand how the Council invests in local services and facilities for the benefit of everyone.
