Financial Regulations
The Financial Regulations of Wistow Parish Council set out the procedures and controls that govern the management of the Council’s finances. They are designed to ensure that public funds are managed responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with legal requirements and recognised standards of good financial practice.
The regulations provide a framework for financial planning, budgeting, accounting, procurement, payment authorisation, internal controls, and financial reporting. They help safeguard the Council’s assets, ensure value for money, and support effective decision-making on behalf of the community.
Wistow Parish Council regularly reviews its Financial Regulations to ensure they remain up to date and reflect current legislation, guidance, and best practice.
