Policy & Documents
Vexatious Policy
The Parish Council is committed to dealing with all enquiries, concerns and complaints fairly, consistently and respectfully.
It recognises the right of residents to raise legitimate issues and is committed to responding to them in an open, transparent and timely manner.
Occasionally, the behaviour of a small number of individuals may become unreasonable, persistent or vexatious, placing a disproportionate demand on the Council’s limited resources and impacting its ability to serve the wider community effectively. This policy sets out how the Council will manage such situations while ensuring that everyone is treated fairly and that legitimate concerns continue to be considered.
By adopting this policy, the Parish Council seeks to balance the right of individuals to communicate with the Council with its responsibility to protect councillors, employees and public resources from unreasonable demands, ensuring that Council business can continue to be conducted effectively and in the best interests of the community.
